OUTCOMES OF THE HEART
Peace
God is the “Lord of peace.” He reconciles all things and can give us peace no matter our circumstances. Peace is not found in the absence of conflict. Peace is found in the presence of God. He’s not detached. He’s not absent. He’s not looking on from afar. God is present. Because God is present, peace is present.
Let me prove it to you. Isaiah 9:6 calls Him the “Prince of Peace”. The title of Prince is interesting. First, it speaks of power and authority passed down through family lineage. Secondly, a person can’t hold a royal title or public office of any kind unless they take up residence in that particular area. You couldn’t be the prince of Great Britain or the King of Belgium because you don’t reside there, you likely reside in the U.S., and they probably haven’t asked you!
When it says Jesus is the Prince of Peace, it means He lives and dwells and moves in peace, and He’s bringing that peace to every situation of our life. While I don’t know every situation, I do know that if Jesus lives in you, then peace lives inside of you. God wants you to have peace the middle of the mess, He wants to use you to bring peace to chaotic situations all around you.
Goal:
Ask God to help you find peace where you are. No matter what you’re facing; ask Him to give you peace in the middle of your storm. Ask God where you can bring peace to those around you today.
