Healthy Habits


To be successful in anything, you have to develop consistent, healthy habits in your life. The same is true for your relationship with God. In order to grow in your relationship with Him, you must also grow in the habits that keep you connected to Him. Through reading the Bible, prayer, and the other practices that we’ve discussed in the previous weeks, not only do you get to be more acquainted with Him, but you also get to know the good things that He promises as He does work in your heart. 


When you are diligent in these healthy habits, you are putting good things into your heart, and out of your heart good things will come. You will see a change in your heart, attitude, and behavior. Because God is doing a work in you as you get to know Him better, the fruit of that work will be reflected in your everyday life. You may find yourself being more compassionate, kind, loving, and joyful. All of those things are proof that God is working in you because of your diligence in your healthy habits. 


Action Step: What are some healthy habits that you can choose to start this week? Ask a parent, trusted friend, or mentor to help you stay on track with those habits.
