Read To Hear : Book Of GenesisSample

The death of Sarah
“Sir, listen to us. You are a mighty prince among us. Bury your dead in the choicest of our tombs. None of us will refuse you his tomb for burying your dead.” Then Abraham rose and bowed down before the people of the land, the Hittites. (Genesis 23:6-7)
Although Abraham was remarkably blessed by God and the people regarded him as a great king among them, he still respected the native tribes of the land where he resided. Even when he had to bury his wife Sara, Abraham still asked their permission and bought a piece of land at its appropriate price. Abraham was not prideful. How would we act if we were faced with such situation?
