Your RESET Record

By now you might be saying, “I’ve got this Jesus thing figured out!” 

But before long, whether in a day, a week, or a month later, you’ll hit a snag. You’ll mess up. You’ll feel terrible and wonder whether God really loves you.

And in these moments, God gives us the incredible gift of confession. 

Most people think of confession as a burden, not a gift. But would we believe that if we truly believed God was ready to fully forgive us? 

When you mess up, don’t wait before coming to God. He knows you better than you know yourself, and he’s already forgiven you through the cross. Confess your mistake specifically, but don’t wallow in guilt. Accept the forgiveness Jesus gave you on the cross. Receive it like you would receive a birthday present. Then ask God to give you fresh power through the Holy Spirit to live rightly.

Confession is a gift because it reminds us that we all need Jesus. It’s God’s way to help us get back on our feet and keep moving forward.
