Knowing God’s HeartSample

Knowing God’s Heart

DAY 3 OF 7

God is love and goodness

Know God’s Heart; a Heart of love and goodness

In Jeremiah 9: 23 & 24, the prophet Jeremiah says “Let not the wise man glory in His wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in His might, nor let the rich man glory in His riches; But let him who glories glory in this, that He understands and knows me, that I am the Lord, exercising loving kindness, judgement, and righteousness in the earth, for in these I delight,”.

God delights in us boasting about our knowledge and understanding of Him, and in His unchanging character of being the dispenser of loving kindness and goodness. Our God is distinguished as being a God of love and kindness. This, must lead us to live our lives out of the abundance of experiencing His kindness and goodness.

As we meet, interact with people, go through various circumstances and situations on earth, we must deal with them from God’s heart; that which is full of kindness and goodness. We need to ask God to make our heart beat for what beats His and pain for what pains Him. We need to express the way God would. We need others to see God’s heart in us. This needs to be our primary motive; that His love would be demonstrations to people around us through us.

Father we pray that our hearts would be gripped with an understanding and knowing of who you are; that you are the God who exercises loving kindness for us, for people. Give us an expectation to see the demonstration of your love and your goodness towards your people.
Let that become our heartbeat. Thank you. In Jesus name, Amen.
