Leadership Thinking

DAY 10 OF 10

Day 10: The Lonely, Prayer-Filled Places

Reflection:
Even with crowds pressing in and demands increasing, Jesus often withdrew to lonely places to pray. Leadership requires strength, but that strength comes from time alone with God. The busier He became, the more Jesus prayed.

Leaders who neglect prayer soon run on empty. Prayer is not wasted time—it is the source of wisdom, clarity, and endurance. Jesus teaches us that private prayer is essential for public leadership. The secret to leading well is staying connected to the Father.

5 Reflection Questions:

  1. Why did Jesus withdraw to pray, even when He was busy?
  2. What does this reveal about the source of His strength?
  3. How can busyness become a danger for leaders?
  4. What happens to leadership when prayer is neglected?
  5. What practices can help you create space for prayer?

Application Question:
👉 This week, when can you set aside intentional time to withdraw and pray?

Prayer Prompt:
“Lord, remind me that prayer is my strength. Help me to seek You first in the quiet places so I can lead well.”
