Leadership Thinking

DAY 7 OF 10

Day 7: The Desire to See Others Grow Beyond You

Reflection:
When Paul stood before King Agrippa, he boldly expressed his desire that everyone who heard him would become like him—except for his chains. True leaders long to see others grow in faith, even surpassing them in influence and impact.

Leadership is not about holding people back to protect your role but about releasing them to flourish. Great leaders celebrate when others rise higher, go further, and accomplish more. Paul’s heart shows us that leadership is about legacy, not competition.

5 Reflection Questions:

  1. What does Paul’s statement reveal about his heart for others?
  2. Why is it hard for some leaders to see others surpass them?
  3. How does releasing others strengthen the kingdom of God?
  4. Who has gone further because of your leadership?
  5. What would it mean for you to desire more for others than for yourself?

Application Question:
👉 Who in your life can you encourage this week to grow beyond where you are right now?

Prayer Prompt:
“Lord, help me to desire growth for others more than recognition for myself. May I celebrate when others rise higher.”
