The Heavenly Father

I have three children. And my third child is Stella Ramola. As I would be out of station most of the time on account of my ministry, my daughter Stella would miss me a lot. One such time, she pestered my wife by asking her, “When will Daddy come? I want to talk to him.” When I answered her call, she asked me, “Daddy, when will you come?” I asked her, “Why should I come?” “To hug me” pat came her reply.

For children, their father is a very important part of their lives. The love of a father provides security and meets all their needs. If my daughter feels lost even when she misses me for very few days, what would be the plight of those who have lost their father forever?! This was the plight of Abraham too, when he lost his father Terah in the Bible. But, what happened? The Lord appeared to him. He gave him a wonderful promise. It strengthened Abraham who was fatherless and childless. He was comforted by the heavenly Father. In what manner? God blessed Him with a child Isaac according to His promise. The child brought laughter into his life. His joy was complete. His sorrow turned to joy. My beloved, everything will be restored in your life because God is your Father.

Prayer

“Loving heavenly Father, though I am surrounded by many people, I feel like an orphan. I have lost my loved one forever. Lord, as You consoled Abraham who was fatherless and childless, I come seeking for Your comfort and Your life-giving words. Help me to live a prosperous life on this earth. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

‘You are not an orphan; You have a heavenly Father!’

Blessing For Today

Every day we must know the plans that the Lord has kept in store for our lives. The Lord has given us His word to reveal His plans to us. He reveals His plans through the word of God as we read it with reverence and prayer. When we hear His voice through our meditation of His word our hearts will burn like fire filled with joy (Psalm 39:3). Then as we follow it with proclamation of those words through the power of the Holy Spirit through our prayer, the blessings of that day will come upon us. Not only the blessings, but the grace of God shall come upon us to carry out that day’s work.  We have compiled the Bible passage for you to read as well as the Lord’s revelation for each day. We pray that through this the Lord may give you the grace to be connected to Him throughout this year.
