You can be sure that you are saved from your sins and that you are a child of God

Key principle

You can be sure of your salvation because you can be sure of Jesus and what He did for you. Nothing can undo the fact that Jesus died for you and paid the penalty for your sins with His own blood.

Key Scripture passages

John 1:12 (NASB2020) - 'But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.'

Romans 6:23 (ESV) - For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 10:27-29 (BSB) – (27) My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. (28) I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand. (29) My Father, who has given them to Me is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

Romans 1:17 (BSB) - For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
