Colossians 4

1 Masters, provide what is fair and equitable to your slaves, recognizing that you also have a Master in heaven.

Further Injunctions

2 Devote yourselves persistently to prayer, remaining alert in it with thanksgiving.

3 Pray simultaneously for us as well, that God would open a door for us to proclaim the message, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I have been imprisoned—

4 so that I may declare it with clarity, as I am obligated to speak.

5 Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward those outside the faith, making the most of every opportunity.

6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so you will know how to respond appropriately to each person.

Paul’s Fellow Workers in the Lord

7 Tychicus, my dear brother and faithful servant and fellow worker in the Lord, will inform you about everything concerning my circumstances.

8 I have sent him to you for this precise purpose: so that you may learn about our situation and so that he may encourage your hearts.

9 He is coming with Onesimus, my faithful and dear brother, who is one of your own. They will tell you about everything happening here.

10 Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, sends you greetings, as does Mark, Barnabas’ cousin (you have received instructions about him; if he comes to you, welcome him),

11 and Jesus who is called Justus. These are my only fellow workers for God’s kingdom who are from the circumcised community—they have been a source of comfort to me.

12 Epaphras, who is one of your own, sends greetings. As a servant of Christ Jesus, he is always wrestling in prayer on your behalf, so that you may stand mature and completely assured in everything God wills.

13 For I testify about him that he works hard for you and for those in Laodicea and Hierapolis.

14 Luke, the beloved physician, sends greetings, as does Demas.

15 Give my greetings to the brothers and sisters in Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church that meets in her house.

16 After this letter has been read to your congregation, make sure it is also read in the church of the Laodiceans, and that you in turn read the letter from Laodicea.

17 Tell Archippus: “Pay attention to the ministry you received in the Lord, so that you fulfill it completely.”

18 I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Remember my imprisonment. Grace be with you.
