97
PSALM NINETY-SEVEN
1The Lord reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of islands be glad. #Isa. 60:9, ; Psa. 96:10
2Clouds and darkness are all around Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. #Psa. 18:11, 89:14
3A fire goes before Him and burns up His enemies round about. #Psa. 18:8
4His lightnings light up the world; the earth saw and trembled. #Ex. 19:18
5The mountains melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. #Mic. 1:4
6The heavens declare His righteousness, and all the people see His glory. #Psa. 19:1
7All those who serve graven images are ashamed who boast themselves in idols; bow down to Him, all you gods. #Ex. 20:4; Lev. 26:1; Heb. 1:6
8Zion heard and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of Your judgments, O Lord,
9For You, Lord, are most high above all the earth; You are exalted high above all gods. #Ex. 18:11; Psa. 83:18, 95:3
10You who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. #Amos 5:15; Psa. 34:14, 37:39; Prov. 2:8; Dan. 3:28
11Light is sown for the righteous and gladness for the upright in heart. #Prov. 4:18; Job 22:28
12Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous ones, and praise His holy name. #Psa. 30:4, 33:1
