1Ne wundrie ge þæra yfelwillendra and þæra orsorgra,
ne him na ne onhyriaĂ°,
ne eow ne ofĂľince Ăľeah eow ne sy
swa swa him Ăľam Ăľe unriht wyrcaĂ°,
2for þæm swyþe hraþe forseariað swa fileðe,
and hy gefeallað swiðe hrædlice

16Betere ys Ăľam rihtwisan lytel
Ăľonne Ăľam synfullan mycel wela,
17for þam se earm and þæt mægen þæra synfulra byð forbrocen,
ac Drihten gestrangaĂ° Ăľa rihtwisan,
18for þæm he wat þa wegas þæra unsceðfulra,
and heora yrfeweardnes byĂ° on ecnesse.
19Ne gesceamað hy na on þære yflan tide,
ac on hungres tide hy beoĂ° gefyllede,
20Ăľonne Ăľa synfullan forweorĂ°aĂ°.
Þa Godes fynd, swiþe hraðe þæs þe hy beoð gearode and uppahefene,
beoð gedwæscte swa ðer smec.
21Æfre borgiað þa synfullan and næfre ne gyldað;
þa rihtwisan syllað ægþer ge to borge ge to gife.
22Ăža Ăľe God bletsiaĂ° beoĂ° eorĂ°an yrfeweardas,
and Ăľa Ăľe hine wyrgeaĂ° forweorĂ°aĂ°.
23Fram Gode byð gereht se weg þæs rihtwisan,

24And Ăľeah se rihtwisa afealle,
ne wyrĂ° he gebrysed, ne his nan ban tobrocen,

25Ic wæs geo geong, and nu ic ealdige,
and ne geseah ic næfre rihtwisne man forlætenne,
ne his sæd þæt wære hlafes wædla.
26Ac se rihtwisa ælce dæge miltsað and syleð oþrum to borge,
and his sæd byð on bletsunge on genihte.
27Gecyr for þæm fram yfele and do good,
Ăľonne wunast Ăľu on weorulda weorld.
28For þæm God lufað ryhte domas
and ne forlæt næfre his halge,
ac he gehylt hy on ecnesse.
He witnaĂ° Ăľa scyldigan,
and þæt sæd þæra unrihtwisra forwyrð.
29Ăža rihtwisan gesittaĂ° eorĂ°an on yrfeweardnesse,
and hy buiaĂ° on hyre a weorulda weoruld.
30Se muð þæs rihtwisan smeað wisdom
and his tunge sprycĂ° rihte domas.
31Seo æ his Godes bið on his heortan,
and ne aslit his fot.
32Se synfulla hawaþ symle þæs rihtwisan,
and secĂ° hine to fordonne,
33ac Drihten hine ne forlæt on his handa
to þam þæt he hine mæge fordon;
and Drihten demð hym bæm.
34Gebid Drihtnes and heald his bebodu,
and he þe uppahefð to þæm þæt þu bust eorðan,
and þu gesyht hwær þa synfullan forweorðað.
35Ic geseah Ăľone unrihtwisan swiĂ°e upahafenne
swa swa sum cedertreow on Libanus munte.
36And ic Ăľa Ăľanon for, and eft Ă°yder com;
þonne næs he.
And ic acsode æfter him and hine sohte,
and hine ne funde, ne furĂľum Ăľa stowe,
þe ic hine ær on geseah, gecnawan ne mihte.
37Heald for Ă°y rihtwisnesse and efnesse,
for þæm se gesibsuma læfð symle
yrfeweard æfter him.
38Ac Ăľa unrihtwisan symle forweorĂľaĂ°
ealle ætsomne mid hyra yrfeweardum.
39Ac seo hæl þæra rihtwisena cymeð symle fram Gode,
and he byĂ° heora gescyldend on geswinces tide.
40And Drihten him gefultumaĂ° and hy alysĂ°,
and hy ahret æt þam synfullum, and hy gedeð hale,
for þæm hy hopiað to him.
