The book we often avoid reading is the very book God promises to bless us for reading. A world of angels and demons, eagles and beasts. Images that seem strange at first glance. What if they are more than unusual creatures? What if they are symbols of familiar concepts and systems waiting to be "revealed"? Step in. Look closer. Revelation may be unveiling far more than you think.

God gave David a special promise. His descendants would reign over Israel forever. Biblical history shows us how God kept this promise in an amazing way, despite the unfaithfulness of David’s descendants. He sent Jesus Christ, the ultimate Son of David, who will be King forever and ever — not only over Israel, but over all the nations.

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is a yearly reminder of Jesus’ prayer for his disciples that “they may be one so that the world may believe” (see John 17.21). The theme for the week of prayer in 2018, "Your right hand, O Lord, glorious in power" is inspired by Exodus 15:6.
