“Ek, ja, Ek is die Een wat julle troos. Wie is jy dan dat jy bang is vir gewone mense wat sal sterf, vir mensekinders wat bestem is om soos gras te sterf, dat jy die HERE wat jou gemaak het, vergeet – Hy wat die hemel oopgespan en die aarde gegrondves het – dat jy voortdurend, daglank, bewe vir die woede van die verdrukker wanneer hy daarop uit is om te verwoes? Waar is die woede van die verdrukker? Wie in boeie vooroor geboë sit, sal binnekort losgelaat word; hy sal nie sterf nie, nie na die grafkuil gaan nie; aan brood sal dit hom nie ontbreek nie. Want Ek is die HERE jou God, wat die see in beweging bring, sodat sy golwe dreun.” Die HERE, Heerser oor alle magte is sy Naam. “Ek gee my woorde in jou mond; met die skadu van my hand bedek Ek jou, om so die hemel oop te span en die aarde te grondves, en om vir Sion te sê, ‘Jy is my volk.’ ”
