Ek self praat jou moed in. Hoekom is jy dan bang vir ’n mens wat ook maar kan doodgaan? ’n Mens is mos maar soos gras wat ook kan verbygaan. Jy vergeet dat die Here jou gemaak het. Hy het die lug daar bo oopgespan. Hy het die grond hier onder vasgemaak. Nogtans is jy die hele dag lank bang vir jou onderdrukker wat so wreed is om alles te verwoes. Hy kan jou niks meer maak nie. Binnekort sal almal wat in tronke aangehou word, weer vrygelaat word. Hulle sal nie in die tronk doodgaan nie. Hulle sal nie langer honger ly nie. Ek is die Here jou God. Ek laat storms op die see kom. Ek laat die branders bruis. My Naam is Here van die hemelse leërmag. Ek het die lug oor die aarde gespan. Ek het die aarde stewig op sy plek neergesit. Ek het vir Jerusalem se inwoners gesê: “Julle is my volk.” Ek sê vir jou wat jy moet sê. Ek beskerm jou.
