Through God's Eyes

NGÀY 10 TRONG 10

We discussed the heart of missions and their reason, but what happens to people who never hear the gospel? What does God do with those people? For years, theologians and people have discussed and had their views on this, but together, we will look at this through the lens of scriptures and allow it to speak for itself. Often, as Christians, we forget it is our mission to reach the unreached people to hear about Jesus Christ. We know that being a believer is accepting the free gift of salvation that God has offered us. To accept and believe in Jesus Christ. When we look at the world today, we have a world filled with people who do not accept Christ and our beliefs. Even to the point that discussion of "hell" has become a taboo topic and labeled as "politically incorrect." But is it politically incorrect? Absurd? No, for us, for Christians, heaven and hell are both real. When we look at scripture and study, we see that Jesus talked more about hell than He did about heaven. If we believe in heaven because of the Bible and Christ taught it, then we have to accept the existence of hell for the same reason. So what happens to those who are not reached with the gospel? God's word tells us in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Do you notice the word "all"? It doesn't say that some or a specific people group, but it says that all have sinned. Both reached and unreached. What are the results of sin? Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death…" It is separation from Christ. We have a God who doesn't force us but gives us a choice. God has revealed himself not only as the manifestation of Christ but creation itself as well. Romans 1:18-20 says," 18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world, God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse." Let's take a closer look at this. Scripture tells us that because God has made known his power and nature through creation, we have no reason to reject who is both reached and unreached. When we do reject, we fall to sin more and more, and God's wrath falls on us. For that, the end result is not good. This is why it is so important to reach the unreached. This is why we must trust the Holy Spirit and obey the calling that He has asked of us. To instill the truth of God's message in them and of His love. Cause if we don't, they will spend eternity in hell. How do we know that? Well, we only have two choices. To believe and obey the will of the Father or to reject the will of the Father and spend eternity in hell. Psalm 9:17 says, "The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God." That's really uncomfortable to hear, correct? But we have hope. We have hope because God uses people to share his glory and to do the work of reconciliation. We respond the same way as Paul when he wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:10-11, "10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. 11 Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience." We go and persuade others. We go and preach the good news of the gospel. That Jesus lives. That there is a better way.
