Influence of God's Glory

NGÀY 23 TRONG 24

Your Legacy for God’s Glory The best eulogies are not those that end in tears, but those that cause everyone in the crowd to realize how grateful they are to have known the person. Everyone has the ability to influence the lives of people they encounter. Solomon and David continue to influence people today through the work of Scripture. The author of the book of Ecclesiastes is not known, but it is widely believed to have been written by Solomon, toward the end of his life. The theme of the book is the emptiness of life apart from God. Ecclesiastes Chapter 12 is a summation of the wisdom Solomon gained throughout his life. The king had earned great wealth, and he accomplished more than almost any man in history. Solomon would probably say that his greatest achievements were not measured in bricks and mortar or battles won, but in words. Each of us will leave a legacy, and some of that legacy will be eternal. D.L. Moody said it this way: “A holy life will produce the deepest impression. Lighthouses blow no horns; they only shine.” > 1\. The verses in this lesson are considered wisdom literature. What choices or changes are necessary to adjust our lives to God’s words of wisdom? > 2\. How do you think your legacy will change as a result?
