## God Is Near the Brokenhearted Contemplate Psalm 34:17-19, and then let’s pray. > ”When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears > and delivers them out of all their troubles. > The Lord is near to the brokenhearted > and saves the crushed in spirit. > “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, > but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” (Psalm 34:17-19) Father, You hear my cries. You know when I need You, and You know how to help. You deliver me from all my troubles, even when I feel overwhelmed. You don’t say I won’t have troubles. Instead, You say that in my troubles, You are present, and You care, and You do not turn away. You are near me when I am brokenhearted. Right now, You are near. You save me when I am crushed in spirit. And as I face many afflictions, You deliver me from them. You do not abandon me. I can count on You to help me. Help me now, Father. I need You right now.
