Have you realized that we wouldn’t dare tell somebody else some of the things we tell ourselves? Most of us are our own worst critics. Instead of speaking to ourselves words of encouragement and affirmation, we whisper deep down in our hearts words that tear us down. When we talk to ourselves in that way, our spirit crashes, and our strength fades away. We need to start building ourselves up. And we won't be able to do that when we speak to ourselves with bitterness, anger, or slander. We need to develop the habit of being kind to ourselves. Speak gentle, kind words to yourself. Remember to whom you belong and the things our Father says about His children. Use those words to build yourself up and grow as a confident, wonderful woman of God. Dear Lord, You´ve made me with love. I am special and cherished in your sight. Please help me remember that truth and treat myself kindly. In Jesus’ name, amen.
