“Ako na kausap mo ngayon ang iyong tinutukoy,” sabi ni Jesus. Dumating ang kanyang mga alagad nang sandaling iyon, at nabigla sila nang makita nilang nakikipag-usap si Jesus sa isang Samaritana. Ngunit isa man sa kanila'y walang nagtanong sa babae, “Ano ang kailangan ninyo?” Wala ring nagtanong kay Jesus, “Bakit ninyo siya kinakausap?” Iniwanan ng babae ang kanyang banga, bumalik sa bayan at sinabi sa mga tagaroon, “Halikayo! Tingnan ninyo ang taong nagsabi sa akin ng lahat ng ginawa ko. Siya na kaya ang Cristo?” Kaya't lumabas ng bayan ang mga tao at nagpunta kay Jesus.
