1 John 4:7-21 teaches us much about the love of God. The Apostle John gives us the gospel’s definition of God’s love, and he reminds us of how, through the gospel, God permanently displayed His love to us. In this passage John also reminds us of how the gospel empowers us to demonstrate to God, and to others, this love of God in our own Christian lives.

The Gospel of John shows us who Jesus is. In chapter 4, we read how Jesus reveals Himself in a conversation with a Samaritan woman at a well. This story contains many lessons for us. John has written it down for us, “so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:31)

In Revelation 4, we find this scene: John sees a vision of an open door, sees the throne of God and hears an invitation to “Come Up Here.” This plan encourages you to make that invitation personal and enter into God's presence through prayer.
