Flame of Love 

God gives us grace to love those who hurt others. Only that love can transform the other person. Do you think it is hard? With human strength it is not possible. But, because “the love of God” has already been poured into you through the Holy Spirit, it is easy to show love to others. 

A husband who was an alcoholic was blessed with a devout Christian wife. She would pray for him throughout the day. Every night, she cooked hot food and awaited his return. The moment he opened the door, she would greet him with a smile and say, “You are the best husband in the world. Come, have a hot meal. It’s ready for you!” Even after hearing her say that, he would curse her while eating. But, she loved him very much inspite of his behaviour. One day, as he ate, he suddenly cried out, “I am trying to kill you with my abuses; but you are killing me with your love.” Saying so, he knelt down and wept like a child. He told his wife, “Pray for me to be delivered from alcohol.” God delivered him and built their home. 

Yes, my friend! Express God’s love to others! God never asks you to give what you do not have. Give what you have to others, whole heartedly. Manifest Jesus Christ through your life. 

Prayer

“Loving heavenly Father, I regret the days when I was unable to love those who hurt me. Thank You for the love of God that has already been poured inside me. Lord, give me Your grace to love everyone and bring many to Your salvation. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
