This is a true story – There was once a poet in a king’s palace. He was a God-fearing man. Without knowing whom to worship, he used to bind his feet to the roof and hang upside down. God saw this and decided to reveal Himself to the poet. Suddenly, one day, on his way to the king’s palace, he saw a vision in the sky – A person carried a cross with a crown of thorns on His head and He was bleeding all over. He told this poet, “I am Jesus. I gave My life for you so that you will be cleansed from your sin. Commit yourself to Me.” He found out who Jesus was and accepted Him as his Savior and committed his life to the Lord. Soon after, he started singing for the Lord and he is none other than Vedanayagam Sastriyar, a man of God. He has 133 books and over 500 song lyrics to his credit. 

Praise God today for who you are in Him. There are many who are still submerged in the darkness, not knowing the one true Savior. Make a list of all your unsaved friends and relatives. Offer a word of prayer for them to be saved and enjoy the abundant life that you have. God wants someone to pray for them and proclaim His gospel to them. Will you be that someone?

“Loving Father, I thank You for bringing me into Your marvelous light from darkness. I pray for my family, friends and relatives who are still unsaved. Open their heart to listen and receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. I free them from the clutches of the devil in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
