Nothing Can Hide from Its Heat Jakarta has been experiencing unpredictable weather these past few months. If you live here, the weather many times goes from very hot to suddenly heavy rain. The similar happens to our lives, right? There are times when we suddenly feel that the secure and comfortable things of our life are not there anymore. The Scripture names that as "the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house..." (See Matthew 7:24-27). We have times when we feel safe and able to live strong, and then rain, floodwaters and winds are beating us. Our lives are many times being pictured as a house in the Bible, and many things indeed will happen to that "house" - rain, floodwaters, winds, and the sun. The Scripture we are reading today says that: "nothing can hide from its heat." I believe it deals with the heat of God's love and help. Wherever you are and whatever the condition is today, God's sun will find you! Just like a champion rejoicing to find you! How will I experience God's sun in this time of trouble, you may ask? Answer: through His Word. God's Word will revive you today, it will refresh you and make the complicated things in your life more manageable since you are made wise by God's Word. When you have no experience and wisdom to tackle your problems, the "instructions of the LORD are perfect" to help you. Friends, God is real and near to you. I guarantee that you will never be too far to hide from the heat of His love and help. Would you call on to Him today? Whoever finds God, finds life.
