LOVE THYSELF?

DAY 2 OF 5

Day Two

You can know that you are worthy of being loved because God loves you! I never want anyone to be in a place of self-hatred, so please don’t misinterpret what I’m saying in this plan. It’s a touchy topic because I know many people are depressed and have said the "learn how to love myself" phrase that I’m confronting, but what they sadly and unfortunately fail to realize is that the devil wants them to keep their eyes on themselves. That’s one of his goals because when your eyes are on yourself, they aren’t on God.

Think about this: We are not perfect people, and we never will be until Heaven. All of us already know this! Therefore, when we’re constantly dwelling on ourselves, we will always find something that we don’t like about ourselves. So, of course, you’ll be distracted wondering how you could ever love yourself! We’re imperfect people living in an imperfect world. We're flawed people loved by a flawless God. We need to expect that we will sometimes find things about ourselves that we don't like (because we’re all imperfect), but also receive the reality that in our brokenness and imperfection, we are still loved by a perfect God. At your worst, God still loves you.

Please know and understand this truth: “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:38-39‬‬).

YOU'RE NEVER NOT LOVED! YOU ARE ALWAYS LOVED BY GOD AT ALL TIMES!
