Proverbs - Episode 1Sample

Wisdom empowers a person to make the right choices in every situation. Some things may be right in themselves, yet not right for the moment, or not right for you. The ability to recognize these differences is called sound judgment. A person demonstrates sound judgment when they can discern motives beyond actions, evaluate behaviour beyond words, and assess character beyond charisma.
Many men wrongly assume that when they pursue an immoral woman, they are the ones in control. They interpret her attractive appearance and seductive words as a "green light". But in reality, they have completely misunderstood the situation. The man pursuing the immoral woman is the victim. Her charm is intentional. It is designed to attract men who lack sound judgment. The Bible warns that such a path leads to the loss of dignity, self-respect, and even financial stability.
As a man being drawn toward immorality, you must ask yourself an honest question: Are a few moments of pleasure worth my dignity, my peace, my future, and my financial freedom? The Bible warns that following the immoral woman leads to destruction. She leads, and the man follows. The destination may not always be physical death; sometimes it is financial ruin, emotional destruction, or the collapse of destiny and purpose.
Scripture also offers a wiser alternative: “Be happy with your wife.”The word "be" implies intentionality. Happiness in marriage is not always automatic; it is cultivated. Kindness, attentiveness, meaningful conversations, spending quality time together, helping with responsibilities, and making your spouse feel valued; these simple acts build joy in a marriage over time.
Often, the problem is not that there is something extraordinary about another woman; it is that effort has stopped at home. The immoral woman appears attractive partly because she carries no covenant responsibility or long-term commitment. Much of her attention is focused on maintaining the appearance that attracts the support of a man without sound judgment. Wisdom recognizes this reality.
A wise man invests intentional effort into loving his wife well, making her feel appreciated, beautiful, and secure both inwardly and outwardly. To abandon one’s wife in pursuit of immorality is not wisdom; it is a failure of self-control and judgment.
