Send Someone Else
By the time God spoke from the burning bush, Moses was eighty years old, hiding out in the desert after a failed attempt to deliver his people four decades earlier. So when God told Moses to go back to Egypt and bring His people out, Moses didn’t exactly say yes.
He pushed back in multiple ways: Who am I? What will I tell them? What if they don’t believe me? I’m slow of speech. When the excuses ran out, he finally said the quiet part out loud: Lord, please—just send anyone else.
Most of us know that prayer better than we’d like to admit. The call feels too big, our past feels too messy, and our gifts feel too small, so we hand God our resignation letter before He’s even finished giving us the assignment. We confuse insecurity with humility and call it discernment.
Notice what God didn’t do. He didn’t accept Moses’ resignation, and He didn’t argue him into confidence either. He simply kept being God, answered every objection one by one, and stayed with Moses until obedience finally came. He’ll do the same for you today because your insecurity is not strong enough to cancel His call!
Pray
Father, I’m bringing You my doubts instead of hiding behind them. Send me anyway. Amen.

About this Plan

The people God used most weren’t the polished ones. Samson compromised. Moses ran. Gideon hid in a winepress. They lied, raged, doubted, and drifted—yet each one ended up at the center of what God was doing. Over the next 13 days, we’ll walk through their stories and discover what God does with imperfect people who finally show up.
