May 5 – The Reliability of Scripture

The reliability of Scripture means that God’s Word is unchanging and dependable. It does not shift with time, culture, or human opinion. What God has spoken remains established and trustworthy across generations. Scripture stands firm because its source is an unchanging God.

This matters because it gives the believer stability. In a world where everything changes, the Word of God remains constant. It provides a solid foundation for faith, decisions, and convictions. A believer who trusts in the reliability of Scripture is not easily shaken by circumstances or trends.

When the reliability of Scripture is questioned, uncertainty begins to grow. People become hesitant to trust God’s promises and are unsure of His Word. This leads to doubt, fear, and instability. Without confidence in the reliability of Scripture, faith becomes weak and inconsistent.

DAILY EXERCISE
Write down two promises from Scripture. Reflect on them and declare them over your life.

PRAYER
Father, thank You because Your Word is reliable and unchanging. Help me to trust in Your promises and stand firm on Your truth. I pray for believers, leaders, students, and families across Nigeria that they will find stability in Your Word. Lord, we ask that Your truth be established across nations. Strengthen the Church worldwide to trust in the reliability of Scripture, and let faith rise globally.
