DAY 6 OF 7

We can grieve many different things; extreme sadness is not confined to death. I remember grieving divorce. I grieved the loss of a friendship that I thought was solid. Moving away from family was hard. Being betrayed by family and friends... that was massively difficult to navigate and move past. Obeying God can even come with a price tag of hurt for what you had hoped your life was going to look like, but there's always a plan! (Jer. 29:11, Isa. 55:8)

Jesus grieved, too. He knows all too well what those things looked like. Remember how He felt about his good friend Lazarus dying? He knew it was coming, but it still hurt Him so badly, and He wept. (John 11:32-36)

Remember how we were told in the Bible that Jesus, while on that cross, cried out to God, "Why hast Thou forsaken me?" (Matt. 27:46) He was groaning within His soul and was certainly grieving the pain, suffering, anguish, and the turning of God's back on Him in order to FREE US from our own sins and offer us eternal life! The amazing part of this is that Jesus, Who was perfect in every way and without sin, was crucified for us...Yet God promised to never leave or forsake US (His faithful children) in times of trouble and anguish! We are told that if we live a righteous life, we will never be forsaken nor beg for anything. (Psa. 37:25)

Jesus is more than acquainted with our issues, my friends. We cannot experience anything that Jesus didn't die for in order to free us from the burdens that we endure in this life. We are to live victoriously, valiantly, boldly, honorably, meekly, lovingly, serving one another and shining His Light in all we do and say, regardless of our circumstances or situations.

How, you might ask? By allowing God to govern our thoughts, actions, and words, and by thinking before we speak or act/react. When I allow God to move freely in my life and my flesh tries to rear its ugly head amid the turmoil I am in, I can hear Jesus speak to my spirit, "Represent ME, daughter..."

Sombering, isn't it?

Let's go forward with the mindset as a child of God, that whatever we say or do, actions or reactions, are challenging what is believed about GOD to the masses. People ARE watching and listening! Are you repping well?

About this Plan

Acquainted

Jesus is well acquainted with our suffering, betrayal, grief, and pain. There are many ways we can navigate the deep valleys of layered hurt. This plan focuses on the promise that, as followers of Christ, we do not walk these paths alone. We have countless promises to lean into and glean from to get us to the other side of our sufferings.
