What if God’s delay is not His absence?
There have been seasons I’ve faced a kind of pain that doesn’t make a noise. Has there ever been a time you maybe felt this way? The quiet ache of an ignored job application, a negative pregnancy test, another day managing pain in your body, another night trying to hold your family together, or another prayer that feels like it hit the ceiling. Waiting is not just about time-it’s about tension, and if we’re honest, waiting can feel like abandonment.

But Scripture reveals something profound:
God is not distant in your waiting - He is intentional in it.

Isaiah says He waits to be gracious. Which means your delay is not empty-it is filled with divine purpose. God does not waste suffering. He does not overlook your tears. He is not passive toward your pain. He is positioning grace. There are things God is doing within your heart, within your character, and within your circumstances that cannot happen instantly. Because sometimes the greatest act of grace... is not giving something quickly, but giving it at the right time.

Psalm 130:5 encourages us to wait for the Lord.
Hebrews 6:15 declares that Abraham waited patiently and received what he was promised.
