Reading the Bible can feel intimidating sometimes. But one simple way of studying Scripture is called S.O.A.P. It stands for "Scripture," "Observation," "Application," and "Prayer." We'll show you how—it's easy!
S: Scripture
If you haven't already, read today's passage of Scripture. Then summarize it in your own words.
O: Observation
Read Acts 3:19–21 again.
- What stands out to you?
- What does the passage say about being refreshed?
- What's God's role in restoring us?
A: Application
Where in your life are you feeling worn out? What could help you?
What's something that can make it be difficult to be honest with God?
How can choosing honesty lead you toward wholeness? What can you do to take a step that direction?
P: Prayer
Spend time talking with God about something you've been carrying alone or in secret. Ask God to help you move toward renewal. Thank God for not giving up on you.

About this Plan

Sometimes the issue isn’t effort—it’s direction. Real change often begins with small, honest shifts in our habits, attitudes, and choices. Scripture shows how God invites us to pivot when our way isn’t working, leading to renewal and growth. In this series, students will see that God can turn our arrogance into humility, God can turn our cruelty into kindness, God can turn our selfishness into generosity, and God can turn our brokenness into wholeness.
