BUILDING FOR MY FUTURE

If you’re going to build for your future, you must be willing to forget what can’t come with you. Many of us say we want to move forward, but we’re still gripping the foundation that originally formed us. Your parents did the best they could with what they knew, and acknowledging that doesn’t have to minimize your experience. At some point, you have to release your past in order to build something that lasts.

In the Transformation Church sermon “Building For My Future,” we are reminded that building with standards is wise. In your family. In your business. In your relationships. In your future. A foundation determines longevity. When you build on something solid, you can withstand pressure. When you’re attached to what is unshakable, you won’t collapse when life shakes.

But here’s the promise: God will never ask you to release something without replacing it with something better. Sometimes, it's not that God stopped moving, we just get too familiar with the way we’ve learned to operate. If you become obsessed with a method, you may miss the movement that’s right in front of you.

We are all called to build on the foundation of Christ. This is our standard that does not change. However, what is built on that foundation may look different.

And the truth is, the crash is coming for anything not built on the right foundation.

The determining factor is this—what do you value? Because what you value, you prioritize. And your vision must align with your values. Many people have vision without values, a mission with no method, a dream with no devotion, direction with no daily practice. Sight without a standard will always lead to self-sabotage.

If we love the vision more than the values that get us there, we’ll leave wreckage behind. Where have you loosened or lost your standards, blurring the lines of your foundation? Build on the standard of Christ. His way. His Word. His truth.

It is the only foundation that lasts.

Prayer:

Jesus, I want to build my life on You. Align my vision with Your values and strengthen the foundation beneath everything I’m building. Show me where I’ve compromised standards and give me the courage to rebuild where necessary. I choose what lasts. In Jesus’ name, amen!
