Healing

DAY 2 OF 3

God’s Will for Healing

Yesterday, you read that sickness is not God’s punishment. It is a result of sin. The devil caused sin, and through sin came death, sickness, and misery into this world.

While the world is bound by addictions and depression, we can be completely free from them.
While the world becomes a helpless victim of darkness and everything that comes with it, we are more than conquerors through Him who lives in us!

It is the Father’s will that we live in good health and are not subjected to the consequences of sin as we see them in the world.

If you want to know the will of God, you must look at the life of Jesus.

Acts 10:38 (NKJV)
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”

Jesus went around healing all who were oppressed by the devil.
Not some.
All.

Jesus came to do the Father's will.

John 6:38 (NKJV)
“For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.”

So what did Jesus do?

In Luke 4:16-21 (NKJV), we read how, at the beginning of His ministry, Jesus quoted Isaiah 61 in a synagogue:

“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”

After He read this, He said:
“Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

Before and after this passage in Luke 4, we read how He went around doing all the things He quoted from Isaiah 61.

He healed the sick, cast out demons, preached the good news, and much more.

That means that healing the sick, casting out demons, and destroying the works of the devil (1 John 3:8) is God’s will.

Jesus would never go against the will of the Father. Through Him, we see God’s heart. Therefore, when we look at the life of Jesus, there is only one conclusion we can draw: we must see and believe that healing is absolutely God’s will, and that sickness and bondage are not from God, but from the devil.

Amen?

Prayer

Father, thank You that healing is Your will. Thank You that Jesus came to heal and to set free. I choose to believe Your truth above circumstances, past experiences, or doubt. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
