Living Inside Out: Developing a Practical Awareness of Who You Are in Christ

DAY 3 OF 10

SPEAK UP - YOUR MOUTH IS A STEERING WHEEL

“The tongue has the power of life and death…” Proverbs 18:21

Imagine you are going to a particular location that you don’t know before and you are using a Google Map, however, you are constantly ignoring the directions and shouting, “I’ll never get there!”

Well, many believers live like that, confessing defeat while expecting victory. If you want your life to steer toward your identity in Christ, your mouth has to be on board.

Words are like seeds—they produce fruit in your life. If you say “I’m so weak” often enough, your soul will take it as gospel. But if you say, “I am strong in the Lord and in His mighty power,” your spirit rises to meet that reality. Your words can either amplify heaven’s voice or echo hell’s discouragement.

It’s not about positive thinking; it’s about biblical speaking. When God wanted to create the world, He didn’t think it into existence—He spoke it. And He’s called us to imitate Him. Declare what God says about you, even if your feelings haven’t caught up yet.

So, start your morning with declarations. Stand in front of a mirror and speak God’s truth over yourself. Yes, it might feel a little awkward at first, but eventually, your inner critic will have to retire. Your voice is a weapon; use it intentionally.

Prayer and Confession
I speak what God says about me. I am blessed, not broken. I am equipped, not empty. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Amen!
