DAY 3 — THE TRINITARIAN WORLDVIEW: INTERNAL, EXTERNAL, ETERNAL
Key verse:
“In Him we live and move and have our being.”—Acts 17:28
A Kingdom worldview recognizes three interconnected realities: the internal, the external, and the eternal. These are not separate compartments but integrated parts of how God designed life. The Father calls you to live aware of all three — your inner world, the world around you, and the spiritual realm that defines ultimate truth.
The eternal reality is the foundation. It is the unseen realm, the voice and presence of God, the truth established before the world began. Jesus constantly referred to this realm — “I only do what I see the Father doing.” The eternal defines the internal and guides the external.
The internal reality is the heart — your thoughts, emotions, desires, identity, and character. Scripture repeatedly emphasizes transforming the inner person (Proverbs 4:23). Jesus was deeply aware of His inner world and submitted it fully to the Father's will.
The external reality is the physical world — relationships, society, work, creation, and culture. Jesus engaged this world with compassion, wisdom, and authority. He did not retreat from it; He transformed it.
A healthy worldview integrates all three. Ignoring the eternal leads to exhaustion. Ignoring the internal leads to immaturity. Ignoring the external leads to isolation. Jesus held all three in perfect balance — rooted in the Father, secure in identity, and active in mission.
Reflection/Activation:
Which reality do you focus on most — internal, external, or eternal?
Which one do you tend to neglect?
What would it look like for Jesus to integrate these three aspects in your life?
Prayer:
Father, align my worldview with Yours. Root me in the eternal, transform my internal, and guide me in the external. Jesus, teach me to live as You lived — grounded, whole, and led by the Spirit. Holy Spirit, create balance and integration in my life. Amen.
