Seek First 365: A One Year Bible Reading Plan for Daily DevotionSample

Reflection:
- In verse 21, what did Jesus say to the rich, young ruler? When Jesus asks us to give up something, what is His motive?
- In verse 27, what did Jesus declare that provides hope for us when we follow Him?
- What promise did Jesus make in verses 29-31 to those who sacrifice and follow Him?
Pray and Apply:
Think about what you have recently laid down in pursuit of Jesus, or perhaps what sacrifice you know you need to make for Jesus to become first in your life. Reread the promises Jesus makes to you in verses 29-31. Thank God for the gift of knowing Him and the rewards of following Him. If you know it’s time to sacrifice something in pursuit of Jesus, pray for the strength to let go of what you must and to respond to Jesus’ invitation to know Him more and follow Him more closely.

About this Plan

Seek First 365 is a one-year Bible reading plan designed to help you build a daily rhythm of reading Scripture, meditating on God’s Word, praying, and journaling. Instead of rushing through several chapters each day, Seek First 365 invites you to slow down and focus on a single passage—or even part of a chapter. The goal isn’t speed, but transformation. Each day is crafted to help you linger in God’s Word, listen to the Spirit, and let His truth shape your heart, mind, and life.
