Day 1: Wake Me Up, Lord

“Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
Ephesians 5:14 NIV

A kind of tired exists that can run deeper than your body. It’s spiritual. Emotional. It’s a soul-level drift that numbs your awareness of God’s presence. Maybe you’re going through the motions—attending church, praying now and then, trying to do the right things—but something inside still feels distant, dulled, or asleep.

And that quiet ache you feel? That restless sense there’s more? That’s God stirring you to wake up. He gently invites you up to His presence—to the light of Jesus already shining into your story. Jesus came to raise you from spiritual deadness into full, vibrant life. And He’s calling you, right now, to rise.

God designed you with purpose, created for relationship with Him. When you open your heart to the Father, everything starts to change. His light reveals who you really are; you're chosen, not forgotten. You’re seen; not once overlooked by Him.

You are God’s child—created to live awake, aware, and alive in Him.

Let today become that new beginning. Pay attention to the nudge. Let God speak into the places you’ve tuned out. Ask Him to reawaken your soul.

Pray

Jesus, wake me up. I don’t want to sleep through the life You’ve given me. Open my eyes to Your presence and help me respond to Your call. Shine Your light on every part of me, and lead me into the life You’ve prepared.

Say

I am no longer asleep—I rise with Christ. His light shines on me, and I am alive in Him.
