Jesus is fully God. God the Father said the same thing. Hebrews 1:8 tells us, “But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.” Jesus, the Son, clearly reigns just like the Father.
John 1:1 also tells us that “in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
The Word is Jesus. The Word of God was always with God and was God. The living Word, Jesus, came into the world “that the world through him might be saved” (John 3:17).
