Back to the Basics 365

DAY 331 OF 365

Sometimes you may share the gospel, and the person gets saved right away. It’s usually because God has used others in their life to sow, plant, and water. In this case, He chose you to be the one to harvest. Whichever He chooses you for, He will surely reward you for being a faithful laborer, as promised in the scriptures we will read today.

But what if someone doesn't accept Christ when you share the gospel with them?

Missionary Adoniram Judson was recorded as living in Burma for 6 years, sharing the gospel without a single person accepting Christ as their Savior. Was he wrong to do that? In John 4:37, Jesus told the Samaritans, “…One soweth, and another reapeth.” Sometimes, others will see people saved more often than you do. Don’t be discouraged, just keep sharing the gospel!

It’s important to remember that God might be using you to plant the seed of the gospel, or to spiritually water it, before someone else can lead that person to be saved.

Do you continue to share the gospel, even if you do not see anyone saved for a while?
