Back to the Basics 365Sample

Why do believers need spiritual accountability?
Hebrews 13:17 instructs believers to submit to those who have authority over them. God places spiritual leaders in the church to guide, teach, and protect His people. Being accountable isn’t about control. It’s about understanding our proper role in submitting to authority.
A wise Christian is strengthened by correction and counsel. Just as a coach helps an athlete improve, a spiritual mentor enables you to stay faithful and avoid pitfalls. God uses these relationships to strengthen your walk and guard you from drifting.
Be thankful for the pastors, teachers, and mentors God has placed in your life. Listen to their counsel and let them help you grow. A humble heart is the key to spiritual maturity.
