A Spirit-Filled Moment: Encountering the Presence of God

DAY 3 OF 7

The Spirit’s Power and Gifts

While the Spirit often works quietly, He also empowers believers with spiritual gifts for the good of the church. These gifts: wisdom, healing, prophecy, tongues, and more aren’t given for personal status but for service.

Paul emphasizes that the same Spirit distributes all gifts. There is diversity, but no hierarchy, each gift matters, each person matters. What unites them is their source: one Spirit, one Lord, one God at work in all.

Spirit-filled moments aren’t just emotional highs; they equip us for mission. When we open ourselves to the Spirit, He both transforms us inwardly (fruit) and equips us outwardly (gifts).

Reflection Question:
Which spiritual gifts have you seen in yourself or others? How can you use them for the good of your community?

About this Plan

A Spirit-Filled Moment: Encountering the Presence of God

The single command Jesus gave his followers before igniting his movement was “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised...” (Acts 1:4). He was telling them to wait and then move with the Spirit. For a movement to accomplish God's mission, it must be guided by the Spirit of God. We want to challenge every leader at Exponential with the big idea of Spirit-filled: Moving With The Spirit.
