A Spirit-Filled Moment: Encountering the Presence of GodSample

The Spirit’s Gentle Whisper
Elijah expected to meet God in the wind, earthquake, or fire. Instead, God came in a gentle whisper. Sometimes the Spirit works in quiet ways prompting us, guiding us, producing fruit like love, joy, and peace in unseen ways.
In a world of noise, it’s easy to miss the whisper. We look for dramatic experiences, but often the Spirit transforms us slowly, like seeds growing into fruit (Galatians 5:22-23). Silence, prayer, and Scripture help us tune into His voice.
This doesn’t mean the Spirit never moves powerfully. Acts 2 shows wind, fire, and bold proclamation but it reminds us He’s not limited to big moments. He speaks both in whispers and in wonders.
Reflection Question:
When have you experienced the Spirit in a quiet, subtle way? How might you make space to hear His whisper?

About this Plan

The single command Jesus gave his followers before igniting his movement was “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised...” (Acts 1:4). He was telling them to wait and then move with the Spirit. For a movement to accomplish God's mission, it must be guided by the Spirit of God. We want to challenge every leader at Exponential with the big idea of Spirit-filled: Moving With The Spirit.
