A Spirit-Filled Movement: Ordinary People, Extraordinary MissionSample

Crossing Barriers
Jesus’ mission includes Jerusalem (those closest to us), Judea (those like us), Samaria (those unlike us), and the ends of the earth. The Spirit empowers us to cross cultural, social, and personal barriers with the gospel.
In every era, believers have been called to love those who are different, ethnically, socially, or politically. The early Christians shocked the Roman world by welcoming outcasts, serving the sick, and uniting Jew and Gentile.
A Spirit-filled movement doesn’t stop where comfort ends. It moves toward the marginalized, breaks down walls, and reflects God’s inclusive love.
Reflection Question:
What barriers, cultural, social, or personal, might God be calling you to cross for the sake of the gospel?

About this Plan

The single command Jesus gave his followers before igniting his movement was “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised...” (Acts 1:4). He was telling them to wait and then move with the Spirit. For a movement to accomplish God's mission, it must be guided by the Spirit of God. We want to challenge every leader at Exponential with the big idea of Spirit-filled: Moving With The Spirit.
