LEADERSHIP WISDOM FROM the WILDSample

Put on Your Crown of Salvation
The lion’s mane is its glory. It is not just beautiful; it is protective. It sets him apart in the jungle and shields him in battle. When a lion faces an enemy, his mane cushions the blow and makes him appear larger and more intimidating.
That mane is the lion’s crown. And for us as believers, our crown is the helmet of salvation. Scripture says, “Take the helmet of salvation” (Ephesians 6:17). Salvation is more than a ticket to heaven; it is a mark of royalty, a spiritual covering that protects the mind from despair, defeat, and doubt.
The lion wears his mane with dignity. Likewise, we must wear our salvation with confidence. Many leaders lose their focus not because they lack vision, but because they lose hope. The helmet guards our thoughts and keeps us steady in battle. When fear or discouragement attacks, salvation reminds us who we are and whose we are.
David once declared, “Now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me” (Psalm 27:6). That is the language of a man wearing his crown. When you put on the helmet of salvation daily, you lift your head above worry, anxiety, discouragement, and spiritual fatigue.
So what do we need? The courage to wear our crown, to let our minds be guarded by hope, our hearts anchored in grace, and our lives driven by the assurance of redemption. The crown of salvation is both a symbol of our position and a shield for our minds.
Consider: Have you allowed doubt or despair to knock your helmet off? Are you walking around uncrowned, exposed to the battles of the day? Put your crown back on; salvation is your symbol of royalty and your defense against the enemy’s lies.
