The Blessing of a FatherSample

Day 7
Gad – Resilience Through the Battle
Gad’s blessing speaks of conflict, but also resilience. He will face attacks, but he will fight back and prevail. Life is a battle—your children will face challenges, opposition, and setbacks. The question is not if, but how they respond.
Encourage your children to develop resilience—the ability to rise after falling, to keep fighting when the odds seem against them. Teach them that God is their strength in the battle, and that courage is a fruit of faith, not just boldness.
Your prayers and example will shape their outlook. Pray they will be warriors of God, prepared not only to face difficulties but to overcome through Him.
Prayer: Father, grant my children resilience in the face of trials. When life attacks, may they respond with strength and faith. Teach them to rely on You in battle and to never give up. Build courage and perseverance in their hearts. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan

Fatherhood is one of the most profound and sacred roles a man can embrace. It is a journey filled with joys, challenges, hopes, and responsibilities. In this 12-day devotional, we draw inspiration from the blessings Jacob spoke over his sons in Genesis 49. Each day explores a unique blessing and a father’s heart for his children - covering strength, leadership, resilience, and courage. May these reflections encourage and equip you to speak life, purpose, and faith into the next generation, nurturing their character and calling with God’s wisdom and love.
