The Blessing of a FatherSample

Day 11
Benjamin – Courage and Swiftness
Benjamin’s blessing describes courage and boldness. A wolf is fierce, alert, and swift. As fathers, we want our children to be courageous - to face life head-on with confidence grounded in God. We want to teach them that the early part of life is for pursuit and for battles, and the latter part of life is for enjoying the spoils of their labor.
Teach them to be alert, discerning, and ready to act. Courage is not recklessness but strength guided by faith and wisdom. Pray that they will boldly pursue God’s purposes with energy and passion.
Remind them that true courage honors God and protects others, not just themselves.
Prayer: Father, I pray for boldness and courage for my children. Let them face life’s challenges with strength and faith. May they be swift to act for good and persistent in pursuit of Your plans. Empower them to lead with confidence and grace. Amen.

About this Plan

Fatherhood is one of the most profound and sacred roles a man can embrace. It is a journey filled with joys, challenges, hopes, and responsibilities. In this 12-day devotional, we draw inspiration from the blessings Jacob spoke over his sons in Genesis 49. Each day explores a unique blessing and a father’s heart for his children - covering strength, leadership, resilience, and courage. May these reflections encourage and equip you to speak life, purpose, and faith into the next generation, nurturing their character and calling with God’s wisdom and love.
