Activating Your Assignment

Scripture: Ephesians 2:10 (NIV) — “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

You are not an accident; you are God’s intentional design. Before you were born, He placed specific gifts and callings inside you for a unique purpose. Purpose isn’t discovered in a single moment; it’s activated through obedience, one step at a time.

Every believer has an assignment, something only they can do the way God intends. Yet many stay paralyzed by fear or comparison. We wait for a perfect moment that never comes. But faith acts. God reveals the next step as we move.

When Paul wrote that we are God’s handiwork, the Greek word poiēma means masterpiece. That means you’re not mass-produced; you’re hand-crafted. God shaped your story, pain, and personality to serve a divine plan.

Activating purpose starts with surrender. Ask God daily: “What have You already placed in my hands?” It might be an idea, a relationship, or a simple act of service. As you obey, purpose unfolds. You don’t chase calling, you cultivate it through consistent faithfulness.
