How Does Corruption Affect the Image and Likeness of God?

DAY 3 OF 4

Devotional:
The third way corruption affects the image and likeness of God is through vulnerability. You feel vulnerable and like an easy target. We understand this if we’ve ever been taken advantage of simply because we were weak. Vulnerability is related to shame—in both cases, you feel exposed. The opposite of vulnerability is strength and courage. Strength comes from God’s grace, and courage is a personal decision.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I come before Your throne of grace through the blood of the Lamb—Jesus the Christ—to ask for Your grace and respond to Your calling. Today I choose to be courageous because You will go with me wherever You send me. Let the weak say, “I am strong.” In Jesus’ name. Amen.

About this Plan

How Does Corruption Affect the Image and Likeness of God?

Corruption is the harm caused to a person, institution, or society by those who abuse the power entrusted to them for personal gain. Corruption primarily affects us in four ways: 1. Dishonor 2. Cruelty 3. Vulnerability 4. Inability This devotional teaches how to change this reality through the Word of God and reminds us that we were created in the image and likeness of God for good works in Christ Jesus.
