The second way corruption affects the image and likeness of God is through the experience of cruelty. It feels as if one lacks a soul: “What will you do for me before I serve you?” Compassion demonstrates the opposite of cruelty. We all cry out to be loved, but love is not a thing—love is the person of Jesus.
Prayer:
Abba, in the name of Jesus, I ask that Your compassion fill my heart so I may serve and not take advantage of anyone. You are mercy—help me extend mercy to those around me, and especially to forgive those who have offended me. I desire my life to be a tree that bears abundant fruit. Amen.

Corruption is the harm caused to a person, institution, or society by those who abuse the power entrusted to them for personal gain. Corruption primarily affects us in four ways: 1. Dishonor 2. Cruelty 3. Vulnerability 4. Inability This devotional teaches how to change this reality through the Word of God and reminds us that we were created in the image and likeness of God for good works in Christ Jesus.
