Serving in 3 StepsSample

SERVE WITH JOY
Psalm 100:2: “Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing.”
The book of Psalms was written over several centuries as a collection of hymns and prayers from the people of Israel. Psalm 100 is a song of thanksgiving used in temple worship in Jerusalem around the 10th century B.C. This psalm invites God’s people to come into His presence with joy, recognizing that serving Him is not a burden but a privilege.
In a culture where slaves served their masters out of obligation, the psalmist presents a radical contrast: serving God is done with joy, because He is our Creator and Shepherd.
WHAT SHOULD I DO TODAY?
- Serve God with a happy face.
- Serve with gratitude.
- Enjoy serving with joy in your heart.
- Celebrate that I am and can be part of His people.
God calls us to serve today with joy, because His joy is our strength.
